I'll Protect You

Why did I draw this? Well, that's what happens after you read the R/S arc too many times in a row. :V I love the scene where they're little kids and Ruby fought off the Salamence... So what if it happened again when they were older? Sapphire did say that she still couldn't handle Salamence, but maybe Ruby's battling side could take it on. :3 (and kick its butt.) XD Yeah, that's how I come up with inspiration.
